The Netherlands - Two prominent sound rental companies have taken the decision to add Nexo's GEO S compact line array to rental stock; ACS is a a leading player on the international audiovisual scene buying into Nexo for the first time, whereas Skyline has been supplying Nexo systems for many years. In Alphen aan de Rijn, in the Netherlands, Skyline Sound & Light has added a new Nexo GEO S to its rental inventory, supplied by Iemke Roos. The system will be used for exclusive events, one of the first of which was the annual Debutantes Ball, held at the Grandhotel Huis ter Duin Noordwijk aan Zee.

Skyline's Bart Bakker has been a satisfied Nexo PS series and Alpha-E systems user for a number of years. Now he has invested in a GEO S compact line array system, comprising 10x S805, with 2x S830 downfill cabinets. Four CD12 sub-bass units complete the system, with Nexo NX241 system controllers, powered by Camco Vortex 6.

ACS, a leading Dutch audiovisual company, specialises in creating multiple convention room set-ups in large venues with capacity for 10,000+ participants. ACS is a preferred supplier of the RAI Centre in Amsterdam. According to Wim Meester at ACS, the company was looking for a speakersystem that would enable them to minimize cross talk between the different convention room set-ups, in order to optimize the audio performance in every room.

During a month-long international convention last year in Munich, ACS rented a Nexo GEO S system, and thoroughly exploited its possibilities. Speech intelligibility was found to be very high, yet cross talk between the different convention rooms, which were built in the same hall, wasdiminished to a minimum. ACS has taken delivery of 24 GEO S805, with eight S830s, all powered by four Camco Vortex 6 amps and proprietary Nexo NX242 digital controllers. Camco amp distribution panels and pitch adjusters were added to make life as easy as possible on the job.
