The planning and realisation of the new sound reinforcement design were the responsibility of the Wroclaw bureau of sound specialists Tommex Zebrowscy Sp. J. The customer had specifically requested a system that would offer the highest possible degree of flexibility. Additionally, as Marcin Zimny, managing director of the Wroclaw bureau of Tommex Zebrowscy Sp. J, explained "the stage construction design is built around a multifunctional system with variable stage elements." It was therefore obvious that a sound reinforcement solution had to be found that exhibited analogous characteristics.
That being the case, agreement was swiftly reached that a Dynacord VariLine system would be the optimal solution. To provide homogeneous coverage and ensure best listening conditions in every seat in the house, the team led by Marcin Zimny installed at strategic points within the auditorium, inter alia, 10 VariLine speakers, four SUB 18 cabinets, and four SUB 112 subwoofers controlled by a P64 digital audio matrix from Dynacord. This fully digital system makes it possible to supervise and control remotely both the inputs to the digital console and the loudspeaker outputs of the amplifiers via IRIS-Net.
"The great flexibility and high quality of the system fully convinced both, us and the customer," reports Marcin Zimny. "Whenever necessary, the entire system can be reconfigured."
