The Zero 88 team helped generate a great buzz and enjoyed a huge response to the FLX from the public as well as amassed international press and media.
A special press event on the Thursday was attended by a slew of industry journalists from around the world, and FLX demonstrations involving multiple consoles took place throughout the show on the stand of Zero 88's German distributor Ultralight. This was right at the heart of all the action in Hall 11 - arguably and consistently the busiest of the expo.
FLX has been designed to maximize the creativity and time of lighting designers working on medium sized shows across all sectors of the industry.
This powerful and compact console offers a clean, straightforward, intuitive user interface with time-saving tools like Patch Wizard and Auto Palettes to consolidate all the prep work, leaving LDs, programmers and operators free to work faster and more harmoniously when on site ... and under pressure!
Over the four days, the Zero 88 team saw a wide variety of high quality visitors from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. They represented numerous activities - from live events, touring and performance specialties to TV and theatre productions to assorted installations - all of which are relevant markets for the powerful and compact FLX.
"We were delighted with the response from everyone we saw" states an upbeat David Catterall, general manager, Zero 88, adding "and in that I include the press plus the many end users, specifiers, rental companies and venue mangers."
Jon Hole, FLX product manager said, "We had a fantastic show this year which proved an excellent opportunity for the entire Eaton - Zero 88 team to meet existing and potential new customers and give us great brand exposure. We really felt part of the energy and vibe of the overall event in launching this innovative new product, and it was a really valuable opportunity to chat and get feedback from so many sources."
Franck Tiesing, European sales manager for Zero 88 added, "We also had the Chilli dimmer range on the stand which received a lot of interest and has now become a European industry standard. The new Chilli Pro Bypass, a future innovation for the install market was well received."
Other new Zero 88 products highlighted included the Alphapack 3 prototype and the Split2.8 with DMX Fix switch.
