Entertainment Workshops educates young people of secondary school age, in the technical skills of production, video, audio and lighting, with a view to creating the next generation of technicians, designers and sales representatives for the Entertainment Technology industry. As a charity, EW relies on the support of patrons in the industry to ensure students learn best practices on the latest industry-standard equipment - and so EW welcomes you all to meet the students at this successful time.
The Open Day will showcase the EW charity's students past and present, as they demonstrate components of their BTEC, AQA and Arts Award courses in Creative Media and Production Arts. The students will be utilising some of the latest technologies and equipment, essential in producing the best quality future workforce. The next stage for EW students is securing a pathway to a career, which for some will encompass the BTEC in Production Arts.
The EW team looks forward to welcoming all industry visitors to the open day, where celebrity charity patrons, the newly-reformed Bucks Fizz, alongside Nick Van Ede Cutting Crew will give exclusive performances - with EW students operating the sound, light and video elements.
The day promises to be an eye-opening event with plenty of reasons to attend. As operations manager, Paul Byrne, confirms, "This summer has brought fantastic results for all students across the board and their achievement is affirmation to our ongoing hard work and commitment to this project. It was great to hear the assessor recommending us as an OFSTED outstanding provider."
