The latest FireBall SEi digital audio servers are packed with features that make acquiring, encoding, storing, searching and playing music files as easy as watching TV, says the company. Multi-functionality includes CD playback, ripping and CD-R recording, analogue recording, internet radio streaming, PC/ Mac file sharing, and HD storage for thousands of albums worth of music.
The on-screen user interface for browsing, managing and selecting music, IP streaming, system configuration and setup functions, is supplemented by the included FireBall-PC application for control and streaming of music files on a Mac or PC. A web browser interface enables the remote control and streaming of online media, and a PDA interface enables control of the FireBall from any pocket sized web enabled device.
All of the usual custom install RS-232, Ethernet and IR control functionality is provided, and the SE500 features a second RS-232 port for increased control and networking capability. An IR remote control, and Ethernet and AV cables are included.
