The Source Four LED Series 2 fixture were first seen in public at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, where they got a great reception. ETC fixtures product manager Jim Uphoff and his colleagues were busy throughout the show giving demonstrations on the new luminaires and their incredible output. By adding lime green emitters, the gaps in the visual spectrum are evened out, which means that a greater range of colours and more powerful output are achievable.
The Source Four Mini LED is now available in addition to the tungsten version of the Source Four Mini and provides greater energy efficiency for lighting architectural details and in situations where short throws are required, such as in low ceilinged venues, museums and shops. Another new model - the Source Four Mini LED Gallery - provides a higher CRI source for best possible colour reproduction.
ETC's SmartPack power control line has recently expanded to include installation racks with ThruPower capability. The SmartPack ThruPower Switch model offers a dimming and constant power option per circuit, and the SmartPack ThruPower Relay version provides dimmed, relay and hot-power branch circuits. This means that mixed lighting rigs that include traditional tungsten, LED and moving lights can now be better served.
Also on the stand will be ETC Nomad, which gives users lighting control capabilities from the comfort of their own computers. Nomad runs both Cobalt® and Eos®-family software, so users can work with either platform. Show programming can be done while on the move and the Nomad USB dongle allows it to be played back on stage, or it can work as backup directly from the computer itself.
