A recent addition is the Touring Production Rack. Aimed at lighting, sound and theatre technicians, this foam-suspended rack system features a fold away TFT monitor and a keyboard drawer plus various 19" rack-bays. Primarily designed to house a Mac Pro, it can also be built to accommodate a range of PC system cabinets.

Receiving their European debuts on the HHB stand are the new Wohler AMP1-16-3G AMP1-E16-3G compact audio monitoring systems. Occupying just a single unit of rack space and therefore ideal for use in applications where space is at a premium, both devices offer 16 channel, multi-rate HD/SD-SDI and AES audio monitoring, plus the facility to handle next generation 3G sources. D&M Professional will be launching the DN-V500BD blu-ray disc player, and introducing the DN-F Series of solid state audio players (comprising the DN-F300, DN-F400 and RC-F400), the DN-S700 CD/MP3 player; DN-HC5000 and HC1000S media controllers, DN-HP500 headphones and DN-X1700 digital mixer.

PLASA09 marks the worldwide launch of the DN-V500BD. The three-day biennial exhibition for production, broadcast, entertainment and leisure industry technology took place at The Coca-Cola Dome, Northgate, Johannesburg at the end of July, with record visitor figures and massive interest being shown in all sectors of the market. There was also a leap in international awareness of the show.

DWR showed products from all its premium ranges, including Robe, MA Lighting, Vari*Lite, Avolites, CM Lodestar, Arkaos, Strong and many others. Eight international visitors representing various brands joined the DWR team for the exhibition.

The LR7 is a micro pro-ribbon line-array system, designed to be used in stacked or as a flown configuration, for both portable and permanent installations. With a width of three CD's and a height of 1.5 CD's, the LR7 is designed for A/V projects, where very compact form factor with perfect line-array throw and imaging are required.
