UK - International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) has launched a research project which aims to provide an insight into the event industry in 2012, with predictions for the year and the issues facing event professionals.

Event Industry professionals are invited to take part in the survey which investigates the changes in the profile of events taking place in the UK, areas of investment for 2012, and how event organisers source their suppliers.

The online questionnaire takes a snapshot of the UK events industry and highlights important factors for the future, including the impact the Olympics will have on the industry in 2012 in terms of equipment investment and legacy planning.

The Netherlands - UK-based Clockaudio is launching the CW-200 dual channel wireless conferencing system at ISE. The company is showing the new system along with its current range of microphone and microphone management solutions, for conferencing and AV, at the forthcoming exhibition.

The CW-200 provides "an affordable, easy to deploy and operate solution for elementary, occasional or portable conferencing applications". The system comprises two boundary microphone transmitter units and a dual channel UHF receiver. Receiver and transmitter are operable over 32 selectable frequencies for each channel, and feature auto scan and lock to provide transmission on an available interference-free frequency. Adjustable 'Noise-Lock' squelch and RFI shielding technology negate environmental RF noise and signal interference.

The new product features a real pixel pitch of 10.4 mm resolution and is populated with 3in1 SMD chips. The die-cast aluminum modules measure 50 x 50 x 4.5 cm and are ultra-lightweight at just 28kg per square metre. With 5000 Nits of brightness, and the IP-65 rating applying to both front and back of the screen, Pixled F10 i/o is the designed for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor projects and applications, says the company.

UK - International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) is predicting a bright 2012 for the events industry as it releases the results of its industry poll.

IOEX has been carrying out an industry survey which has revealed that budgets for the event industry are looking positive with 83.4% of the respondents saying their investment budget would be the same or increased in 2012, with continued growth maintained into 2013.

Growth was the theme for the year with 64% saying their prospects are looking better this year, and opinions revealing an overall upbeat outlook for the future.

Respondents showed that technology was at the forefront of organiser's minds, with 57.1% responding that they would be investing in event technology and 53.7% in AV equipment. Event management, lighting and sound and entertainment came out next in the poll as the largest spends from these organisers.
