The Netherlands - AV technology tradeshow Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2020 completed a 15-year residency at the Amsterdam RAI expo centre with a special event held on the show’s last day, 14 February (Friday).
Politicians and executives saluted the venue and the city of Amsterdam while looking ahead to the future, with the tradeshow set to move to the Fira de Barcelona for its 2021 edition.
Despite health concerns brought about by the coronavirus outbreak and major travel disruption caused by Storm Ciara, ISE 2020 took place as planned, but with markedly lower attendance of 52,128 unique visitors compared to 81,268 in 2019.

Europe - LG Electronics and German Light Products (GLP) are among the companies to announce their withdrawal from next week’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Amsterdam in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Seoul-based LG Electronics, one of the show’s top 250 exhibitors, was the first to announce that it will not be attending the exhibition.
“LG regrets having to make this difficult decision but the safety of its employees and customers continues to be its number one priority,” said a company statement. “With the World Health Organization (WHO) recommending that individuals ‘promote social distancing’, LG management believed that the most responsible decision is to avoid participating in large public events until the situation stabilizes.”

UK - Le Mark has launched MagTape Ultra-Matt, an environment-focused gaffer tape.
For many years, the company had sought to find ways of reducing its impact on the environment, working to provide its customers a choice when it comes to the use of tapes and consideration for the world.
“The ultimate aim was to produce a biodegradable or recyclable gaffer tape,” explains Le Mark’s managing director, Stuart Gibbons. “But like many industries trying to go green, we found the technology to make it affordable just wasn’t there for us yet. But, there must be something we could do.”
Determined not to give up, the team began to re-think how gaffer tape could be made. Going back to basics, they reviewed everything that went into the make-up of a traditional gaffer tape and the processes in its production.
