The settings for the product demonstrations were EVI Audio's 600sq.m demo hall and the presentation room. Aaron Chisena (product manager, Electro-Voice Mobile Audio) and Markus Schmittinger (product marketing manager, Electro-Voice) introduced guests to the new ZXA1-Sub, a 12-inch powered subwoofer from Electro-Voice. When paired with the ZXA-1 eight-inch two-way powered loudspeaker this subwoofer forms a compact PA that is at the same time light and powerful. A band performed live with this system combination in the well-attended demo room, leaving the guests with a uniformly positive impression of its capabilities.
Martin Traut (senior product manager at EVI Audio) and Jürgen Langhorst (sales director Mobile Audio Germany at EVI Audio) offered a peek at a new development from Electro-Voice's sister firm Dynacord that will be seeing the light shortly, and new product breakout sessions took place across the facility.
Other sessions addressed business and technical angles, including Modern Audio in Gastronomic Environments and Signal Processing, IRIS-Net, OMNEO. Further highlights included visits to the After-Sales Service (ASA).
"As at the NAMM show, the response to the products demonstrated was absolutely first class," reports Hesse. "With the ZXA1-Sub, we seem once again to have launched into the market a product that corresponds to the needs of our customers whilst at the same time occupying an attractive price segment."
A further highlight of the weekend was the presentation of the Distributor of the Year awards, which took place at a dinner in the Bräuhaus in Schwarzach. Ten companies were honoured this year: from Europe, the awards went to Tommex, H.S.A. Audio SRL, TTT Theater Technics & Technology, Standard Audio Systems AB, Ruton S, and Sound House Pro, whilst from the Middle East and Africa AMAC s.a.r.l., Atempo, Hi Fi Service, and Abu Moammar Est were the winners.

And to have done so, now, for many years. This meeting, therefore, also helped us once again set the future course of the enterprise. The global EVI Audio family has grown a good deal closer as a result."
