The Netherlands - At Integrated Systems Europe 2012, German loudspeaker manufacturer Fohhn Audio previews the latest addition to its Linea series of line source speakers, the new Linea LX-10 4/1" coaxial compact loudspeaker.

The speaker has been specifically developed for use in TV broadcast, near-field and under-balcony applications, as well as being a perfect addition to any exhibition booth. Its weatherproofed aluminium housing also makes it suitable for a range of outdoor applications. Up to eight LX-10 loudspeakers can be used with a single amplifier.

Also on the Fohhn booth, is Linea Focus Modular - the latest addition to the manufacturer's flagship electronically steerable line array series. The two high-powered modular systems comprise an active, high-frequency module containing 16 x 1" compression drivers, waveguide and horn, and an active low-mid module with 32 x 4" long excursion speakers. The compact modules can be freely combined and cascaded and are particularly suited to large venues with challenging acoustics, due to their unobtrusive appearance and excellent reproduction of both speech and music.

Fohhn's PS-9 subwoofer also makes an appearance at the show. The DSP-controlled active subwoofer has an electronically controlled 21-inch speaker with an integrated 8500W (peak power) Class D amplifier. With a long excursion of 76mm and an impedance of 0.9 Ohm, its power output is equivalent to that of four high-powered 18-inch subwoofers.
