Fuzion sales director Paul Ward describes the IP-addressable range, which includes LCD professional panels, matrix switchers and scalers for the corporate boardroom and multimedia market, as a perfect addition to the company's product portfolio.
Ward says he is delighted to have acquired the exclusive UK rights to an integrated, solution driven system. "Our technical sales manager Jez Hunter initially wanted to enhance the control possibilities of our Symetrix SymNet system - but when he discovered Vity, we both saw we could take this a lot further."
Fuzion will be marketing the full Media Bus Control range but concentrating specifically on the Vimaty 70S, Vimaty 35B and Tactum CE 366 touch panels, the Padmaty 20 keypad, Minimono controller and the Vitylan gateway.
For example the Vimaty 35B 3.5in touch screen, priced similarly to other wall panel remotes, offers many more features and functions, yet doesn't require expensive programming time using different codes, says the company.
Ward says: "We realised we had an opportunity to introduce some technology to the market that is beneficial to the customer by virtue of having the advantages that other systems don't have. It's also about making people's lives easier, and since the Vity systems work on a drag and drop principle, and require no advanced programming, we think we're onto a winner."
He says: "Vity suits our direction perfectly. We are focusing our efforts on developing more solution-based systems where we can play a vital role in their integration."
The new range is now available in the UK and will be shipping with immediate effect.
The Vimaty 70S colour 7.5in LED touch panel offers IR wire link, RS232 bidirectional link or RS485 (IP through the Vitylan module) and comes in desktop and in-wall versions. Devices can be controlled directly without external controllers; each function is programmable and can control macro-video picture in windows on screen.
The Vimaty 35B is a colour 3.5in LCD touch panel with wire link RS485 and/or infrared. As with the Vimaty 70S, six push buttons provide shortcut functions, while each function is programmable and can control macros; both desktop versions have EIB/KNX communication ports.
The Padmaty 20 keypad has RS485 and RS232 compatibility and IR stand-alone push-button remote control. This easily programmable controller can manage devices directly. Each switch corresponds to each device which it needs to drive, while each function is individually programmable and can control macros.
The Tactum CE 366 is a wireless WiFi stand-alone remote controller, with 8.4in LCD touch panel. This lightweight unit allows the user to control varous audio-visual devices (eg DVD player, plasma screens and amplifiers), automation devices (lighting, electronic blinds, heaters etc) and security devices from anywhere in the house, thanks to its wireless WiFi capacity. A real tablet PC with Windows CE operating system, this remote control allows the user to browse the web and implement video camera streaming.
The Minimono is Vity's new economical MBC controller with four digital inputs and six digital outputs. Communication is by Media Bus Control (MBC) or RS485 and ethernet connection on Minimono/IP. Several Minimonos can be slaved together or connected to other Vity controllers (eg Multicustom, XMonopro and Custom series) by RS485.
Finally, Vitylan is Vity's universal interface, used to connect Vimaty 35, Vimaty 70 and Padmaty 70 via the RS485 port to the Ethernet/LAN network and to the internet.
