The Alima Centre is a multicultural community venue that offers a range of services and educational and training facilities to community arts groups and schools. Its aim is to create a platform for local people to develop their individual, community and cultural aspirations. The centre houses an exhibition space and gallery to promote the Novas Group's work with people facing exclusion - for example, showcasing the heritage of Travellers or individuals with dual heritage.
Colin Reader, managing director of Merseysound Productions, says: "We have worked with the Novas Group for many years, mainly providing sound and lighting equipment for the outdoor events they run. When Novas approached us for help with the new Performance Room and conference facilities, we were delighted to specify Harman Pro UK equipment because it is tried and test and we knew it wouldn't let them down. As this is a community facility, it was important that we installed equipment that was both reliable and easy to use."
Merseysound Productions has over 30 years experience in the musical and conference and events industry and has been operating from its offices at the Liverpool Film Studios since 2000. The company manages multiple events from initial advice through to set design and equipment hire. On the entertainment side, Merseysound has been involved with sound, lighting, production and filming, for many international artists including Lionel Richie, Westlife, Sugababes, Will Young, Charlotte Church and Jason Donovan.
