UK / Germany - Harman Pro is showing a several new products across its various brands at this year's ProLight&Sound exhibition in Frankfurt. Products being debuted in Europe include the new JBL VP Series powered reinforcement systems, Crown Xti and new XLS power amplifiers, Lexicon MX400 and MX400XL Dual Stereo/Surround Reverb Processors, and Alpha Desktop Recording Studio. Other new products being shown include the AKG WMS40 PRO wireless microphone series, the dbx DriveRack 4800, and JBL LSR4300 Linear Spatial Reference Series studio monitors.

The new JBL VP (Venue Performance) Series is described as "a best-in-class powered loudspeaker system family", and is intended to fulfil a wide range of professional installation and portable touring applications. The series of two and three way cabinets and a sub, integrates proven Differential Drive transducers, a 'next generation' high frequency compression driver, and JBL DrivePack technology, developed in conjunction with Crown. Key features include onboard DSP, HiQnet networking functionality, and a wide assortment of rigging options.

Crown International is launching the all new XTi two channel, networkable power amplifier series, comprising the XTi 1000, XTi 2000, and XTi4000 models, providing 500, 700, and 1200W per channel (into 4 ohms), respectively. These amplifiers incorporate many of Crowns latest design innovations, providing a world-class sounding, lightweight amplifier, featuring on-board DSP and computer control, at a new highly competitive price point. Design features include Crown's lightweight switch-mode power supply, USB connectivity, HiQnet software, and built-in DSP to set cross-over points, graphic EQ, limiting and time alignment delays.

Crown is also launching the new XLS Series amplifiers. With four models, ranging from 300 watts to 800 watts (into 4 ohms) per channel, the new series is designed to continue the success of the XLS range well into the future. New features include switchable Bridge/Mono mode operation, and improved signal monitoring indication. Crown is also showing its CTs 4200a and CTs 8200 multi-channel amplifiers, with newly added HiQnet and CobraNet options, to provide full network audio transport and system control capabilities.

Lexicon Pro is launching the MX-400 Series dual stereo/ surround reverb processors, featuring the USB 'Hardware Plug-In' format, that allows these hardware processors to also be used in software plug-in mode, within any VST or Audio Units software environment. Designed for both studio production and live engineering applications, the 4-in, 4-out design MX-400 is available in unbalanced phono, or balanced XLR I/O variants, as the MX-400 and MX-400XL respectively. Lexicon Pro is also launching the Alpha, a new entry-level model in its series of powerful USB based desktop recording studio systems. Packaged with Steinberg Cubase LE multitrack recording software for PC and Mac, and the Lexicon Pantheon VST reverb plug-in, the Alpha Studio bus powered, 2x2x2, USB I/O mixer features one XLR mic and two 1/4 inch jack line inputs, and two unbalanced phono outs.

AKG is showing its latest WMS 40 PRO true diversity UHF wireless microphone systems, alongside the larger WMS 400 and WMS 4000 series. The entry level WMS 40 PRO provides professional standards of performance and build quality, including XLR I/Os and all metal receiver housings.

dbx is showing the new 4800 DriveRack complete equalisation and speaker management system. The new flagship model of the highly successful DriveRack series, the 4800 features a powerful 96 kHz DSP engine, 4-in, 8-out I/O, with both analogue and AES/EBU XLR connectivity, and a CobraNet option. Signal routing, EQ, bandpass filtering, classic dbx dynamics, and feedback suppression are all available with the highest sonic performance, extremely low latency, and extended frequency response.
