"They're a nice, compact dimmer rack with flexible patching on them and LSC is a wellregarded, reliable brand," says Steve Leiter, lighting director at HaycomStaging.
Leiter had a thorough look at all available dimmers on the market but the LSC e24v2package stood out for a variety of reasons. In particular the LCD touch screen on thecontrol panel impressed him. "It allows a quick access to all the functions via simplemenus and also allows you to record internal scenes and looks via the DMXsnapshots," he said. The e24v2 also includes an LSCnet interface as standard, so thescenes can be recalled via 'simple to use' button remote control plates.
Although Haycom Staging has used LSC Power Distribution products in the past, recently purchasing even more, this is the first time that they have selected LSCdimmers. "The LSC Power Distribution products have always been good, well laid outand LSC have always provided great service," added Leiter.
Since acquiring their new LSC dimmers, Haycom have had them out on every singleproduction that they have done and Leiter is especially impressed by the aesthetics ofthe dimmer rack.
"The e24v2 dimmer rack looks good too which is important for corporate work," hesaid. "We do many small to medium sized shows and often, due to space limitations, the dimmer rack may be visible."
The e24v2 Dimming System has fast become an industry standard for feature-packedsmall dimming systems. Utilising LSC's proven PTFD dimmer technology, coupled with an extensive patch field, auxiliary power output circuits, mainsdistribution and professional flightcase, make the e24v2 ideal for the touring market, corporate or exhibition industries and mobile theatre applications, says the company.
