"Age-Jay's understanding of sound reinforcement systems, including digital mixing consoles and everything in the signal path on both sides of them, is of tremendous benefit to our customers," says Meyer Sound Germany managing director Jim Sides. "His knowledge is derived from hands-on experience in every aspect of customer support, including helping applications engineers formulate system specifications, training sound engineers on new products, ensuring that things go smoothly the first few times a client uses new equipment, and continuing after-sales technical support. We are excited to have him join our growing team."
Heitzer's 21-year career in professional audio includes 14 years with the Mark IV group in Germany and graduating from SAE Institute in Munich. Most recently, Heitzer worked on the successful introduction of InnovaSon consoles in the region.
In the US, Meyer Sound has appointed Kurt Metzler to the newly created position of US installation market manager, as part of a company-wide effort to provide greater focus on the growing installation market. In this position, Metzler will work directly with consultants and contractors to introduce new products like Constellation electroacoustic architecture and to help ensure that the most appropriate Meyer Sound products for their projects are being specified and installed. Metzler will also act as an ear to the ground and share feedback from consultants and contractors to Meyer Sound, says the company.
