UK - Texas-based manufacturer High End Systems (HES) and UK-based digital solutions specialist Projected Image Digital (PID) have announced a series of free product technical training sessions running from 31 March - 4 April in London.

"The five-day session, consisting of three modules, will provide a hands-on, intense learning environment on some of today's leading consoles, lighting fixtures and digital lighting products. HES specialists from both the US and Europe will provide training," the companies say.

The training sessions will be held at PID's Headquarters, The Light Box, 111 Power Road, Chiswick, London W4 5PY, with classes running each day 9.30am to 5.30pm. Participants can register for individual modules, or for all three. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided, along with writing materials and course handouts.

The modules are as follows:
Module 1: Dates: Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1.
Console training to cover console layout, patching, editing fixtures, programmer, timing, palettes, cuelists, options and directory, page directory, scenes, saving shows and much more.

Module 2: Dates: Wednesday, April 2.
Digital training will cover set-up, trouble-shooting and maintenance.

Module 3: Date: Thursday, April 3 and Friday, April 4.
Fixture training - maintenance and general repair of all current HES fixtures.

Attendees may sign up to any complete module but there is a maximum of eight attendees per module, so early booking is encouraged. The course is free but there will be a £100 charge for no-shows, the companies say.
