The IL 60-CT is a compact 6.5"/ ¾" ceiling speaker with a handling capacity of 40 watts RMS for typical installations in foyers, boutiques, bars, shopping malls or even airports and public buildings. For music applications requiring extended bass, HK AUDIO offers the IL 80-CT with 8" speaker, ¾" tweeter and a power-handling capacity of 60 watts RMS. In the third ceiling model, the IL 60-CTC, also a 6.5" model, the speaker is enclosed in a sturdy steel housing.
In addition to the ceiling models, HK Audio also offers two new value-priced two-way speakers in molded cabinets intended for mounting on a wall, model IL 60-T with a 6.5" speaker and model IL 80-T with an 8" speaker, both with tweeter. Both models come with wall-mount hardware and are available in either black or white.
All models feature a 100-volt transformer. The transformer offers five variable wattage taps, plus the capability of switching to low-ohm operation. Handling is very easy, says the company, the switch is accessible even with the speakers installed.
The new HK Audio IL models will start shipping in June, 2006.
