Janet Dean explains: "Back in 2009 we had identified the potential for an internet protocol (IP) product range to service a new and expanding market place within the Audio industry. During our investigation of IP-based technology we had many starts and stops, but eventually we identified a UK manufacturer who met the high specification and product portfolio we had been looking for and were interested to explore the possibility of a mutual business opportunity between us."
The partnership began in 2013 and has allowed i-Power (UK) Ltd to offer a product range that is already a market leader in innovation, the company says. "With full manufacturing support, we are able to keep pace with new technology and customer demand to provide products and service of the very highest standards."
The formation of iPower (UK) Ltd was driven by the increasing use of networks in audio, power and access control systems in order to simplify integration, increase functionality and reduce cable infrastructure. "Many of these systems operate on bespoke protocols specific to the manufacturer, but our network platform has been developed to operate on a pure IP (internet protocol) platform, which allows us to work on top of different data link interfaces including Ethernet and Wi-Fi. This enables us to make use of existing networks and communicate over the internet. We can communicate with installations anywhere in the world that have an internet connection. We can now deliver a fully integrated system that has no boundaries and can communicate worldwide which is only limited by your imagination.
"We have become so reliant on computer networks to run and manage our businesses that most buildings now incorporate a network infrastructure to manage day-to-day operations. By designing i-Power intelligent building solutions around IP technology, we can integrate our system seamlessly on to any existing network. This has the advantage of Minimal cable installation, minimal disruption to any on-going business, minimal installation time, IT friendly implementation and on-going management, short- and long-term cost savings and a more energy efficient solution to traditional systems.
"With network connectivity we can operate within a secure network or reach out over the internet to remote sites anywhere in the world," say iPower (UK) Ltd.
The company will exhibit at the forthcoming ISE exhibition in Amsterdam.
