UK - Videoconferencing veteran Impact Marcom has upgraded its Hire Division's wireless microphone stock by investing in eight channels of AKG WMS 4000, which were supplied by Harman Pro UK.

John Moore, Impact Marcom's UK rental manager, says: "The wireless microphones we were using had become outdated and unreliable so we investigated an alternative and decided on the AKG system because it is very high quality. Our technicians were impressed by the features on offer, in particular the ability to scan radio frequencies to ensure we didn't conflict with other wireless microphone users in the same venue. They also like the fact that they can monitor the output from a laptop computer, which makes this a very portable and easy to use system."

Impact Marcom's hire team has been supplying products to the video conferencing business for more than 25 years and holds a huge stock of projectors, plasma displays and audiovisual and videoconferencing systems that are rented out on both a short and long term basis. The new AKG WMS 4000 system is already being used for corporate conferences and is available as a four-channel system or an eight-channel system for larger events.
