"We are demonstrating an unprecedented level of service to the industry by providing a high level of stock holding and customer support, which together have driven a rapid growth in sales," says Impact MD Grant Lester. "Installers, hire companies and retailers now realise it's possible to have low prices and great service, both from the same trade distributor. We're looking forward to an exciting period ahead, for Impact and its customers."
Each new Impact branch reflects a local demand for the company's products as well as a strategic geographical position, the company says. The Belvedere branch in southeast London is near the 02 Arena as well as the Olympic Park, with excellent road links to central, southeast and east London and Kent. To the northwest of London, Park Royal is near Wembley and home to major event managers, and installation companies serving broadcasters, multipurpose venues and theatres across the capital. It also provides good access to major road links across London and the home counties.
The Preston branch of Impact has transport links to Manchester, Liverpool and the entertainment capital of the north, Blackpool, with a diverse customer base of installation companies, DJ shops and hire companies covering the entire northwest. Similarly, Poole is ideally located to service the southwest, including the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. Central to the region's major festivals, and with no major local competition, the Poole branch aims to bring great value products to a large catchment area, which includes the thriving seaside towns, the Olympic sailing venue, the huge south coast hotel, club and bar DJ market, stage and hire companies and architectural lighting engineers.
Moving up to Scotland, Impact's Glasgow branch is adjacent to the airport and within easy reach of the city's DJ shops, Scotland's largest hire companies and major event management companies, while its Edinburgh counterpart has good access to the A701 ring road as well as key event and festival managers, installation teams and hire companies.
Impact says it is also planning more exciting company developments for 2012.
