The mixer is incorporated as one of Infusion's frontline instruments, operated by band member Jamie Stevens: "Already the Allen & Heath PA28 has proven its reliability to us in some extreme live situations. It also sounds so clear with very generous headroom which is really important to us when we want to give it that little bit more. It is a great, reliable desk."
The PA28 has 24 mono and two dual stereo channels, a new padless preamp, internal FX unit, SPDIF output and four-band parametric output EQ. Four auxiliary sends are provided: with two pre-fade sends for foldback, one post-fade for internal or external FX and another post-fade for additional FX or special feeds. Other mixers in the range include the PA12 and PA20, both of which also come in 'powered' versions, containing a pair of 500W RMS AB amplifiers, which can be configured for either 4 or 8 ohm speakers.
