With mixing for 64 channels and input and output resources as follows: up to 48 local inputs (32 mic + 16 line) with an optional stage box giving up to 48 input on stage plus 16 mic/line local inputs. Also available is an LEM (Local External Mix box) giving up to 64 local mic inputs, 16 local line inputs - for busses / inserts, 16 local line outputs - for busses / inserts, up to 48 processed or non-processed analogue digital or Ethersound outputs, with the flexibility of movable I/O cards between local and distant (stage box) slots. There are 32 buses - freely assignable as main, aux, groups or matrix and two monitor buses.
Transmission and Software includes a new MC module providing both coaxial and fibre inputs and outputs for connecting the Sy48 to an InnovaSON stage box and Sensoft 9 software. The Sy48 Control Surface incorporates 48 faders (freely user-configurable for use as, inputs, VCAs, groups, buses, aux, XFAD, matrix etc).
Also the Sy40 / Sy48 LEM (Local External Mix box), intended for clients who want run their I/O modules and DSP externally to the console control surface, eg. OB trucks, theatres, a 19-inch 7u audio rack which contains the DSP Sy48, two auto-sensing auto-switching PSUs, the MC comms module and up to eight InnovaSON, 8 channel I/O modules. The LEM is connected to the Sy40 /48 by means of a single Jeager cable to a new rear panel on the console surface which replaces the internal card slots.
The new mix box and stage box MC and SC communication modules provide both coaxial and fibre interconnection for InnovaSON clients who want to choose which format to use when connecting their console to the stage box. The coaxial receiver is now auto-adjusting up to 500 meters and provides improved Common Mode Rejection. The latest version of InnovaSON's operating system Sensoft, version 9 adds a raft of new hardware control and software features for the Sy80 and Sy48. Features include: 16 internal processes for outputs, routing of processed groups and aux to matrix or master, 16 external inserts on busses, delay on inputs (new for Sy48) and enhanced show software with new Q /Page.
