Spain - UK manufacturer XTA Electronics has made a strong start to 2025 with the launch of the XTA DP648 Audio Management System, which went on show for the first time at NAMM and makes its European debut at ISE.
Building on more than 30 years of design in system processing and loudspeaker management processors, the DP648 is crafted to partner the MX36 console switcher.
The DP648 retains the popular 4-input, 8-output format and features an optional Dante card, allowing for a combination of AES3, analogue, and Dante/AES67 to be used. Comprehensive system processing is provided by dedicated input and output processing similar to the DP448 but enhanced with the multiband dynamic DEQ algorithms from the XTA DP548 and SIDD processors.
The system offers full front panel control and Ethernet remote control via Audiocore Amped Edition, with integration in globcon XTA MC² Edition coming later this year. The combination of dynamics processing, IIR, all-pass, and phase filters, paired with very low latency (0.5ms), makes it a suitable choice for system engineers managing live shows, theatres, and clubs.
The DP648 is supported by an extensive preset library and introduces the X Channel Preset concept built into XTA hardware for the first time.
Richard Fleming, XTA sales and application manager, comments, “Our passion for developing products that enhance the lives of audio professionals remains as strong as ever! The DP648 completes the system - once sound leaves the console we can carefully manage it right up to the loudspeaker - a comprehensive solution where users can pick and choose what elements they need. We are looking forward to introducing the DP648 at ISE and chatting with visitors about the benefits it can bring to their work."
