Whilst Jands is well known outside Australia as a producer of lighting consoles and dimmers, at home they are also a major distributor of imported products such as Shure, Serapid, JBL, Clear-Com, ETC, Vari*Lite, Crown, A.C. Lighting, Soundcraft and Stage Technologies, to name but a few. In fact, the Jands stand featured a total of 14 overseas factory representatives on hand to talk about their products. They also released two of their own new lighting products at the show. The FPX is a modern no-frills dimmer, intended to replace the venerable FP12s, which have become a standard industry workhorse. Also seen for the first time, was the much awaited Vista PC which will shortly be available in128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 channel versions. Output is via ArtNet or Pathport over Ethernet, or via USB through a proprietary Jands interface box. On the stand it was seen running linked to the Vista S3 panel and also in stand-alone mode, talking directly to Cast's WYSIWYG visualisation software.
