The Emmy nomination, Ravitz's third, is for his work on the Christmas special, Carols By Candlelight, presented by Channel 4 San Diego and carried by the Cox Cable Network. The Aurora Award was presented for the lighting design created for Univision's El Grito, the Mexican Independence Day special broadcast live from the steps of the Los Angeles City Hall.
Ravitz, a partner in the LA design firm, Visual Terrain Inc, previously received a Primetime Emmy for his work on the Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's HBO special.
