Jeremy will spend his time between a desk at 5 Star's HQ in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and being on the road around the UK seeing customers, developing new business, networking and keeping an ear-to-the-ground.
His background includes a wealth of experience in the worlds of pro photography, video and broadcast - so he knows a thing or two about the necessity of having good road cases!
He worked as a freelance photographer in London for over 10 years as well as a sales and product manager for photographic retail giant Calumet in their professional and corporate divisions.
Crossovers between this and the live production industry including being highly customer-focused, and understanding the importance of delivering orders quickly and to very high standards.
Says 5 Star's MD Keith Sykes, "We're delighted to have Jeremy onboard. We searched for some time not just to get someone with the requisite knowledge and commitment, but it was also vital to find someone with the right personality, who genuinely shares 5 Star's core values, has a friendly and personable approach to business as well as a great energy for the industry. Jeremy ticked all the boxes, so we are very happy."
Jeremy comments, "I'm really excited! 5 Star is a well-established brand known for its quality and excellent customer service, and I look forward to expanding the business and taking it in new directions and to a positive and fruitful long term working relationship."
Jeremy's first industry trade show for 5 Star was PLASA 2014 at London's ExCeL Centre which showcased some of the company's most popular rental, staging and touring industry products.
