UK - UK distributor John Hornby Skewes & Co has been appointed as the new and exclusive UK and Eire distributor for the LA Audio range of professional signal processors and accessories, with effect from 1 September 2006. The forthcoming PLASA show at London's Earls Court (10-13 September) will mark the public launch of the LA Audio/JHS association.

"Designed for sound reinforcement, fixed install and studio applications, the UK-manufactured LA Audio range brings fresh thinking to every application, adding functionality, reducing complexity and optimising sound quality throughout," say JHS.

"Sound quality is our first principle," says LA Audio's founding designer, Steve Buchanan. "All of our products are are designed to deliver maximum headroom, minimum noise and distortion, with the most intuitive user interface possible."

LA Audio's product range will be the ideal complement to the extensive HK Audio range of pro audio sound reinforcement systems that JHS has distributed for the past eight years."LA Audio products have achieved a legendary reputation for innovation and performance," says JHS MD, Dennis Drumm. "Their range of products fits right in with our ever-growing pro audio and concert sound lines. Our advanced distribution network means their innovative, high quality products and systems will be able to reach a much greater potential clientele than previously."

"Here at Audient we are very pleased to be working with JHS as the new UK distributor," adds LA Audio sales and marketing director, Luke Baldry. "We see a great synergy between the two companies in terms of our business philosophies and our approach to customer support. I'm sure that this relationship will bring us even closer to our customers and help us provide them with the tools and the expertise to produce the highest quality possible for sound reinforcement and installation systems."

The LA Audio line up of 'clever little boxes' borne out of extensive digital research by the company includes highly developed graphic equalisers, high performance active mic splitters, dynamic processors, mixers/distribution amplifiers, mic channel digiboxes, compressors/limiters, stable clock signal generators - plus, of course, the recently-developed, innovative 'CAN-D' stereo headphone line level delay unit.
