"With our limited budget, we expected it would be difficult to find a loudspeaker system that would be liked and appreciated by our demanding user base. It was therefore a pleasant surprise to hear the K&F offering. Since we installed the system we have had many compliments on the quality of sound reinforcement in our new hall."
The Tanna Schulich Hall, located in the New Music Pavillion at McGill University, has been equipped with a Kling & Freitag loudspeaker system. The product range, distributed by Sennheiser Canada, fits the sensibilities of the University that was searching for a system equipped with incredible coherence and exceptional linearity.
The Kling & Freitag audio system caters to the hall's diverse curriculum which includes performance of classical and contemporary music, jazz and electronic compositions. The hall also hosts conferences and is used on a daily basis for music education (with video and audio playback) and training in digital media production.
The Tanna Schulich Hall was outfitted with a 5.2 surround system consisting of three Kling & Freitag CA 1515 for L, C and R, two CA 1001 for surrounds, two SW 215E subwoofers, two CA 205 for stage-lip front-fills. More speakers are planned to be added at a future date for a final system configuration of 13.2 or more.
