Natural light is a major theme at this place of worship, housing a main hall which seats 4500 people. Kusan flew 16 two-way, compact CA-28A powered mid-high systems from the elaborate metal structure supporting the church's glass dome. On each side of the altar, eight CA-28A units were flown below four powered CA-215A bass units. The main system incorporates a Midas model V400/8/IP mixing console.
Roy Curtis from Kusan explains: "One of the main difficulties we had to overcome here was the building's bad acoustics, because it really has a high-level of reverberation and, on top of that, this church has a huge glass dome and glass is of course very reflective. Feedback is a real problem in religious buildings such as this, and you have to make sure that a clear and uniform level of sound can be heard everywhere." The Aero systems solved this problem, providing uniformity of sound throughout the whole building.
On stage, powered SML-15As were installed for the monitor system, making it simple to reposition the SML monitor units on the stage. Kusan chose to provide side reinforcement using DS-108 units from the Dynamics series, enabling the church's religious message to be delivered with greater clarity and precision. The monitor system is powered by D.A.S Energy series amplifiers along with Rane and Yamaha processors. Several different microphones, including fixed, wireless, boom, piano and voice varieties from the Schoeps range completed the sound system.
