Estudio Audio Visual (EAV), a leading designer and supplier of sound and vision systems throughout the Canary Islands, created the extensive distributed sound reinforcement system in association with the world famous SeaWorld of Florida in the United States. EAV worked very closely with audio, video and show producers at SeaWorld in developing the installation. Five C Series C 16:4 amplifiers, supplied by Pro3, Lab.gruppen's Spanish distributor, power a total of 18 EAW UB2199-WP 2-way full-range weather-resistant loudspeakers. The long duty cycles and harsh operating conditions together with the need for excellent sound quality ultimately led EAV to choose C Series after extensive auditions and with the agreement of SeaWorld's technicians.
Sergio Gallardo, Estudio Audio Visual's managing director comments, "The C Series is great! The versatility of output adjustment means they can power a mix of 100V or low impedance loads and you can adjust the gain over a wide margin to adapt perfectly between the signal source and the loudspeakers. Lab.gruppen's reputation for reliability with extreme audio quality is very well known so we feel confident that the Orca Ocean installation will provide consistent high level sound, whatever the conditions, for years to come."
Orca Ocean showcases the acrobatics, learning skills and natural beauty of the four orcas, which come from the successful captive breeding program of the SeaWorld USA group. In addition to Orca Ocean Loro Parque is also home to a huge collection of apes, wild birds, reptiles and many other aquatic creatures. Loro Parque is renowned for it's humane approach and dedication to the conservation of species.
