Filter from all the leading manufacturers - Lee, Rosco, GAM and Chris James are available from stock in both roll and sheet formats, alongside a range of gobos from DHA. Additionally, there's a full colour cutting service available for filter, which can either be cut to size or made up into scrolls as required.
Mandy Bullock-Williams who ran the filter room of Lighting Technology Group (LTG) will head up the new division. Her appointment coincides with two other ex-LTG people joining the Lightfactor team - Jeff Harwood and Bob Peach, consolidating the company's current period of expansion.
Lightfactor has been progressively moving into new products and services, and the formation of the Cut Colour Company will enable Lightfactor to develop its existing product range, and consolidate its position as a leading mainstream supplier to the entertainment industry. In its initial few weeks, The Cut Colour Company has supplied products for a diverse range of applications, shows and artists including the MOBO Awards, Robbie Williams, Westlife and the Disney Kid's Awards.
Lightfactor's MD Paul de Ville told us: "For me, it's like going full circle in setting up the Cut Colour Company." His first commercial job was working in the filter room of the old Theatre Projects shop in Covent Garden back in the early 1980s, before setting up the filter division for LTG. He continues: "Given the vacuum created by the demise of LTG, it was logical for Lightfactor to set up a division to fulfil this need. It needed to be run by the right person with appropriate experience, and when Mandy became available, I jumped at the opportunity as there's no better qualified person in the industry." Other complementary products held in stock at the Cut Colour Company include gobo holders, PVC, gaffer and scroll tapes, lamps, cables and a full range of stands and clamps.
