Bringing all the actions to a worldwide television audience of millions, CBS television's open-sided pitch-side television studio saw host Dan Marino joined by former American football players-turned-pundits Jim Brown, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason.
Used to display the game's score and NFL graphics, the Lighthouse 4mm screen was arranged three panels wide by one panel high, measuring 6.3ft x 1.57ft mounted on the front of the studio desk. The fine pixel pitch of the screen meant that it was the perfect complement to the high definition cameras which were being used to film the Superbowl production. P>"Superbowl is a fantastic opportunity to let the world see the crisp imaging and unparalleled colour quality of Lighthouse's technology," says Joe Lapchick, sales manager, eastern region US for Lighthouse. "The visual presentation industry is rapidly changing and this event highlighted the fact that our LED screen technology is ideal for any environment where moving imagery is required - from large scale fixed and rental environments right through to small television studios, filmed in high definition."
