Top acts like Bob Sinclar, Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero, Westbam and NERVO entertained and excited the crowds on eight large stages and 30 music trucks with further performances provided next to the festival site.

Nicky Romero and NERVO performed their acts on the main stage next to the Mythenquai (the former site was blocked by construction works), which were supported by a large light spectacle and a big live laser show. The order for 100 Pointes is due to the current demands of the rental market and the fact that Robe's highly adaptable, super-bright, multi-functional unit is becoming increasingly popular and appearing more and more frequently on equipment riders.

Marco de Koff, Ampco Flashlight's operations manager reports that they were impressed by the functionality of the Pointe, its output, the unique design and the fact that "LD's love them" ... and that having Pointes in rental stock puts them "Right in the front seat".

Stagelight's audio manager Robert de Lorijn first used Adamson's Y-Axis line arrays in 2005 while a FOH-tech for Eagles of Death Metal at Pukkelpop & Rock Werchter.

Stagelight-owner Jacco van der Heijden was introduced to the brand when Stagelight provided European support for the 2006 Simple Minds tour.

The sound production company purchased their first Y10-system in 2008 and added Spektrix line source arrays in 2010 and 2012. They recently added Energia E15 line arrays to their Adamson arsenal.

The other 20 LEDBeam 100 fixtures are rigged ten each on two 5m high towers positioned either side of the stage flanking the LEDBeam dollies in the middle

The fifth instalment of Boomtown Fair, a live music and arts festival, attracted audiences of around 30,000 each day to see performances from headlining artists including David Boomah, Dub Inc., Mad Caddies, Babyhead and Slamboree.

For the third consecutive year Utopium supplied lighting and rigging installations for the elaborately themed and creative Boomtown Fair. This year Utopium was approached to provide festival lighting rigs for the large stages, including Lions Den, Town Centre, Devil Kicks Dancehall and Circo Baile.

Flanking the sides of the main stage, extending overhead to meet above centre-stage, were two eight-ton, 46ft tall super-arches. The arches, located midway between up - and down-stage, required internal illumination to achieve proper depth perception. Exterior lighting just wouldn't do. "I used them both as a backlight and as an front-of-house fill, and their ability to subtly mix colour and shift from a cooler tone to a warmer one was incredibly helpful.
