The Netherlands - Schaffelaar Theatre in Barneveld is a popular and busy receiving house with a constant flow of shows – musicals, dance, cabaret, comedy and concerts of all types – serving the local community with a lively programme of arts and culture. It is also home to the Barneveld’s Symphony Orchestra, and the venue hosts regular business events and private hires.

There is a 572-capacity large hall and a small hall accommodating 198 people, and recently, there has been a serious investment in Robe moving lights.

The purchase, delivered by Robe’s Benelux distributor Controllux, has so far comprised eight Paintes, 12 x LEDBeam 350 RGBA FWs – with soft focus for the pastel ranges – six T11 Profile multispectral units and five TX1 PosiProfiles. Malta - A lighting rig comprised of 92 ADJ fixtures has been installed by FutureTech Pro at Hive nightclub in Malta. A combination of moving heads, static pars, LED strobes and UV cannons provide a versatile and effective lighting system for the venue, which is capable of delivering a totally immersive experience. This is further enhanced by smoke and haze, created by machines selected from ADJ’s catalogue of atmospheric effect generators.

Intimate, but popular, Hive is located in the heart of the Paceville district of St. Julian’s, Malta’s clubbing capital. Europe - The preparations for the Showlight Quadrennial in Dijon (19 - 22 May 2025) are gathering speed with the programme of speakers almost complete and logistics rapidly falling into place.

Spain - Green Hippo’s Hippotizer Media Servers were the choice again this year for a magical projection installation on the Epson stand at ISE 2025. The project rigged a 2.2m mirrored globe, onto which AI-generated bright, floral and kaleidoscopic content was projected via three 4K, 20,000 lumen Epson EB-PQ2220B projectors. At the heart of the EcoSphere system were two Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Servers running as main and backup, supplied by Motion Mapping and Stage Sound Services (SSS).

Europe - On his current Cronicles tour, the German rapper Cro has not only been looking back on his musical history, but also taking a look into the future. Roland Greil designed the lighting for the show – and in so doing, gave GLP’s new LED FatBeam fixture, Mad Maxx, its tour premiere. The recently introduced Mad Maxx is the first LED-based spotlight comparable to 3kW and 7kW xenon spotlights.

USA - Popular underground rap duo $uicideboy$ completed their Greyday2024 US and Canadian tour with a production design – lighting and set – created by Ian MacDonald, who used Robe moving lights to help deliver a raw, in-the-face, lighting aesthetic. MacDonald is based in Ottawa and has worked with the band since 2021.

This latest tour design featured 42 x Robe iForte LTXs, 34 x Spiiders and four iForte Follow Spots, all supplied by Fuse, who purchased the iFortes for this project, which was co-ordinated for them by account managers Matt Kirkpatrick and Kevin Foreste.

USA/Denmark - LC Innovations has announced that by permission and an agreement with PRG, the Macula remote followspot system is now available for sales in North America.

LC Innovations is a branch of Litecom Group, based in Denmark. USA - Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park featured an impressive artist line-up, with lighting and production design created by Robert W. Peterson of Real World Lighting.

India - Lighting designer Jasangat Sonpal selected 62 Claypaky Sharpy X Frames for a dynamic concert starring Shaan, one of the most popular singers of Indian cinema, at Phoenix Market City in Bangalore, 20 December 2024.

Shaan is a playback singer, composer, actor and television host who records in multiple languages. He is considered among the greatest playback singers, or ghost singers, whose pre-recorded songs are dubbed into motion picture soundtracks replacing the actors’ voices.

For his own high-voltage concert, Shaan opened with some Bollywood classics to the delight of his fans. He took them on a journey through his colourful career, including ‘the four stages of love’ featuring soulful numbers and ballads. Created by Tricolor India Schauspiel, this visual spectacle is powered by seven Christie D23WU-HS 1DLP laser projectors, delivering brightness and image quality to bring the rich history of these thousand-year-old monuments to life. This new 35-minute show, commissioned by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and voiced by actor Amitabh Bachchan, takes visitors on an immersive journey through time, narrating the temple’s storied past like never before.
