Lightware has implemented a series of sustainable practices across its operations

Hungary - Lightware Visual Engineering has detailed its comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach. These efforts reflect the company's dedication to integrating sustainability into all aspects of its operations.

Lightware has acknowledged the impact of its activities on the environment, society, and the economy and is committed to embedding sustainability into its business strategy. The company emphasises that the values embodied in its products and services are the foundation of its success.

To ensure the longevity of its products, Lightware has implemented comprehensive testing protocols, robust engineering processes, and ongoing after-sales services such as technical support. A guideline highlights how sustainability aspects are integrated into product design, addressing factors like energy efficiency, IT security, accessibility, and product lifespan. As a result, Lightware customers are supported with educational materials and user guides to maximise product efficiency and safety.

To realise its ESG objectives, Lightware has implemented a series of sustainable practices across its operations. These include energy-efficient product design and eco-friendly packaging.

In-house design and manufacturing: by conducting design and manufacturing processes internally, Lightware reduces its carbon footprint associated with transportation and logistics. The company consolidates outgoing deliveries to save fuel and decrease emissions.

Lightware encourages employees to work from home to reduce work-related journeys and promotes the use of green transport options, including electric car-sharing programs.

In April 2024, Lightware achieved the EcoVadis Bronze sustainability rating, placing the company in the top 35% of assessed businesses for sustainability performance and above the industry average.

In September, the company joined its Diversity Charter. Their commitment reflects the dedication to building an inclusive and supportive community for all employees. Together, they strive to create a workplace culture that values openness and mutual respect.

"Lightware is committed to continuous improvement, and we look forward to working with all our stakeholders to further enhance our practices and make a positive contribution to a more sustainable business ecosystem," said Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware.
