Lara Vafiadis will be rowing from the Canary Islands to the English Harbour in Antigua & Barbuda
Hungary - Lightware Visual Engineering has announced its partnership with Lara Vafiadis a.k.a. This Girl Rows, as part of the company’s overall efforts to support young talents across the sciences.
On 12 December 2022, British sales manager Lara Vafiadis will row solo and unsupported 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, to help charities Plan UK, Prostate Cancer UK and Our Only World in raising £25,000 each. She will be rowing from the Canary Islands to the English Harbour in Antigua & Barbuda.
The annual race of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge begins in early December this year, with up to 30 teams participating from around the world.
“Lightware will soon be 25 years old, and looking back on this quarter of a century, we can say that perseverance, steadfastness, and faith carried us forward in difficult times, so we respect Lara's commitment to support the chosen charities with this amazing adventure, which will certainly not be an easy one,” said Gergely Vida, CEO, Lightware.
