Italy - Link has announced the latest enhancements to its eurocable line of ultra-flexible speaker multicore cable, specifically designed for the connection of multi-amplified portable systems. The new LK48N40AD2 48 conductor hybrid multicore continues the eurocable tradition of providing strength and flexibility for portable applications while maintaining exceptional electrical properties, the company says. "We had numerous requests from our existing 16N40 customers to introduce a 48 x 4sq.mm version of the cable with two additional AES pairs. The first production run has shipped to a major concert tour in the United States this week and we are extremely pleased with the flexibility and the electrical properties", stated company president Marco Piromalli.For this particular application, Link was also asked to design a compatible 54-pin hybrid LK connector capable of terminating all speaker and digital conductors. "We are very fortunate to have complete control over cable and connector designs at Link. This enables us to come up with complete solutions such as this one. This project was completed in less than eight weeks!," said Piromalli.
The eurocable Multicore Speaker Cable Line includes configurations starting with 2 x 1.5sq.mm conductors up through the new 48 x 4sqmm with two AES pairs.
