This eight-hour training session will take participants through the steps required to properly install a Hearing Loop system. The course will introduce loop system principles and give greater understanding in the specification and design considerations of different kinds of loops systems, including basic, advanced, and phased-array. All attendees will gain both theory and hands-on practical experience of installing, setting up, testing, and certifying a hearing loop system. They will learn how to effectively set up and measure the system to meet standards, as well as how to certify the system to those standards.
Participants will gain a working knowledge of the different types of test equipment and methods for proper use, as well as the requirements of the International performance standard, IEC60118-4. From good wiring practices to product placement, participants will also learn how to troubleshoot the various real-world challenges they may come across and how to minimize their impact on a system's performance and utility. For effective specification and installation of all types of loop systems, a thorough site survey is critical. Methods for performing such surveys will be covered. At the successful completion of this session and test, the participants will be certified as a Hearing Loop integrator, capable of meeting the performance standard IEC60118-4.
Four RU of InfoComm CTS Renewal Credits are available upon completion of this one-day Hearing Loop class and passing the final exam. The cost for this session is $495.00 per person. Lunch is provided for attendees.
