Rohan Thornton at GTV9 with his new maXim console.
Australia -The popularity of LSC Lighting Systems' maXim lighting control desks continues with further prestigious sales announced by the company. Rohan Thornton, Head of Lighting at GTV9 Television in Melbourne, commented: "I was just blown away . . . we needed a console that was not only easy to use for our many freelancers, but had to have enough features and power to do some real complex shows. The maXim filled the bill superbly - plenty of faders, the ability to record so many looks and grab them on the fly, the quick access to create effects with moving lights, the access to palettes and presets and the ease to overlay them on scenes is really incredible! It's as simple or as complex as it needs to be. The console novice can work one fader one light, through to a few moving lights and a lot of dimmer channels. Its' extreme versatility is one of it's great features."

Meanwhile, Ian Anderson, head of lighting at Hillsong Church's new state-of-the-art 3,500-seat concert auditorium, stated: "We use a top-end console for our main lighting desk, but I needed a smaller desk with similar features for portable use around the many venues we have. The maXim was an intuitive platform that gave us many of the top end features we were used to, but at an incredibly affordable price. We had looked at many alternatives, but LSC made our decision easy."

The third sale is to Pure Magic Productions, whose owner Clint Dulieu says: "I was originally looking for a conventional desk with lots of faders, when I came across the maXim. It provided me with everything I was looking for, and with the PaTPad moving light module fitted, I was gob-smacked at how powerful the total package had become. I purchased the largest model and with direct access to 90 playbacks, it has proven to be a great console for my "on the fly" type shows. I have not seen any other console - in any category, let alone the price point of the maxim - that can handle libraries with such ease. The way they treat templates is not only very logical, but gives the operator such flexibility in programming. It's the first desk I have seen that truly integrates both static and intelligent lighting effectively, in a more static way. The maXim is now my desk of choice for those live intelligent shows, where I need to integrate some movers on a big static show without the need for two consoles and two console operators."

The maXim is now being shipped to more than 42 countries worldwide and the range extends from small well-featured 24-fader desks, up to 120 fader/60 fixture control desks.
