UK - LumenRadio enjoyed a very successful PLASA Show in London with exceptionally positive customer response to powerful new CRMX products, a new catalogue with extensive case presentations, and a dozen new OEM partnerships.

SuperNova 2.0 with CRMX Unity had its debut at the show and garnered much interest from a steady stream of visitors to LumenRadio's constantly busy booth. CMRX Unity extends SuperNova's RDM capabilities to wired networks and offers a unified technology and user-interface for systems that utilize a combination of wired and wireless DMX/RDM signal distribution. CRMC Unity also received a nomination for the prestigious PLASA Innovation Awards - a third nomination for LumenRadio that have resulted in two consecutive awards.

The new catalogue released at the show chronicles a broad spectrum of new installations and projects showcasing the versatility and performance of LumenRadio's extensive product portfolio. Coachella, North America's largest independent music festival, exemplifies the use of CRMX in a demanding live event with long distances and huge crowds in a hostile, desert like, environment. The Amerongen Castle installation, realised by Philips Lighting in the Netherlands, represents the other end of the spectrum when it comes to environment; a fragile historic interior were no wires were allowed to disturb the 17th century look.

New products from LumenRadio's OEM partners included Clay Paky's Igloo and GlowUp. The battery-powered GlowUp fixtures feature a wireless master/slave DMX operating mode that facilitates synchronized operation without the need for any wires and external controller. Igloo is an IP54 rated dome enclosure with integral wireless CRMX DMX/RDM designed to protect the Sharpy and other Clay Paky moving lights from rain, heat, snow, and ice.

GDS hit the market with another ingenious eye-opener in its battery powered and LumenRadio CRMX equipped up-lighter series; the LiteWare Satellite. It features a swivelling detachable head and a telescopic pole to elevate the head providing extended reach and endless opportunities for creative setups.

"This year's PLASA Show confirmed beyond doubt that wireless lighting control and RDM, which we consider one of our strong suits, has reached critical mass in the industry. CRMX Unity provided the last piece in the puzzle; extending SuperNova's RDM functionality and CRMX's multi-protocol interfaces to wired systems. Response on the floor was overwhelmingly positive from all segments of the industry and we are happy to report that brisk business has followed in its footsteps," says Hans Lau, director of OEM and North America.
