New in Luminair 2.5 are improved Timing FX options, including Global Timing, Tap Tempo, and Sound Active modes, which allow users to easily create automated, fully-customizable playlists of their lighting scenes.
The new Sound Active mode can detect sounds from the built-in microphone and other audio-input hardware, to trigger automated light shows. Sound Active mode also supports Inter-App Audio on iOS 7, allowing users to send audio directly from supported 3rd-party iOS apps like Algoriddm's djay 2 and many more.
Also new in 2.5 is the ability to control Philips Hue lights right alongside professional DMX-controlled lighting on stages, in !lm and TV production, architectural lighting and anywhere else creative lighting is used.
Users working with Hue lights in Luminair benefit from all of the existing features in the app, like swatch-based color pickers, automated scene playback with customizable fade times, external MIDI control, and much more. New controls for changing bulb color temperature, and automated color looping on Hue lights have been added in 2.5, as well as the ability to group smart lights on a scene by scene basis.
Luminair 2.5 also for the first time features iCloud syncing between all iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. All Luminair related !les are saved to iCloud automatically, allowing users to work with their projects wherever they go. Users also benefit from additional new features in 2.5 like AirDrop and sharing improvements on all iOS devices, as well as external bluetooth keyboard support on iOS 7 when running Luminair on an iPad.
