Zero 88 showed its Illusion 500 console, which combines the functionality of the successful Frog range with the power of a theatrical tracking console. The 512-channel desk can control up to 24 moving lights and offers 108 sub-masters, allowing freedom for 'on the fly' changes. Zero also showed the Frog Screen - a touch-screen interface for the Frog Box, aimed at retail, leisure or themed environments. The screen can display a company logo, allows access to all console editing capabilities and is, perhaps more to the point, lockable.
No-one is more RDM-ready than Artistic Licence, and the company was providing its own RDM demos on the ACT stand. Its RDM-ready products include the Rack-Split RDM, DMX-Split RDM and of course, the Color-Tramp software (also in evidence on the aforementioned Interconnectivity Pavilion), which combines the concept of lighting control with a graphic editor and includes a full implementation of RDM, allowing it to communicate bi-directionally with RDM-capable fixtures.
