USA - Looking to broaden its appeal to national touring acts and corporate clients, Michigan-based Thunder Audio has bolstered its loudspeaker inventory with the addition of a Meyer Sound Milo high-power compact curvilinear array system.

According to Thunder Audio president Tony Villarreal, the extraordinary flexibility of Milo was the deciding factor in his purchase decision. "We researched all the line array products and found that Milo offers both the high-end clarity and raw horsepower we need for all the acts we work with. Let's face it, who's going to get louder than Metallica and Slipknot? Milo can go 'balls-to-the-wall' for them, but it also has the smooth, high-end clarity we need for clients like the Detroit Symphony."

Thunder Audio's new Milo complement includes both original Milo cabinets and Milo 120 high-power expanded coverage curvilinear arrays. To optimize system performance and provide robust line driving capability, a Meyer Sound LD-3 compensating line driver was included in the purchase package.

In addition to the acts mentioned above, Thunder Audio also has supported recent tours by Garbage and Alice Cooper. The concert work is balanced by the company's expanding role as a corporate sound provider, with recent events including presidential campaign appearances, a large-scale NAACP event at Detroit's Cobo Hall, and a Freightliner Trucks presentation in Phoenix. The recent Meyer Sound purchase, according to Tony Villarreal, will help Thunder Audio expand business across the board. "With Milo, we can do everything." He says.
