As well as promoting fine British ale and spirits, the company also used the additional space to demonstrate their Blakite range of British speakers along with their own signal processing equipment. New products on show included a 6" speaker and 12" compact stage wedge, both fitted with dual concentric drivers. These speakers and two subs were being powered by a prototype class-d amplifier. The amp has six channels giving 2x 2,500WRMS and 4x 800WRMS into 4 Ohms. It also includes an updated version of MilTec's DNP26 signal processor.
David Faulkes, sales director, commented, "Our move to bring manufacturing back to the UK has really paid off and our sales of speakers has increased significantly as a result. It has given us the confidence to expand our UK manufacturing base and we are now planning the production of the new amplifier series for late summer."
Two new lighting products were previewed as well. One of these is a compact LED moving head wash/beam light with pixelmapped LEDs. The other is a 1m long batten fitted with four miniature moving heads. Each head has a 10W white LED and projects a cool white pinspot beam, perfect for use as a lighting effect or for spotting tables in banqueting venues.
