UK - 2007 is shaping up to be a year of new entertainment lighting products - and entertainment lighting supplier White Light is offering chance opportunities to see some of those products at a series of hands-on open days during January and February.

On Monday 22 January and Tuesday 23, White Light will be showing products from the ranges for which they are the exclusive UK distributor: Robert Juliat, LSC, ELC, Rainbow, Look Solutions, LDDE and Wireless Solutions. In addition, Isac Alkstrand from Wireless Solutions will be on hand to explain the advantages of Wireless Solutions' range of wireless DMX products, as featured in The Great Wireless DMX Shoot-Out in the July/August 2006 issue of Lighting&Sound Internationalmagazine.

The two open days will run from 10am-4pm at White Light's West End office at 52 Shaftesbury Avenue, opposite the Gielgud Theatre.

On Thursday 25 January, White Light will be playing host to the team from Cast Software in Canada, who will be showing the latest versions of their acclaimed Wysiwyg and Vivien visualisation packages. Wysiwyg is the product that created the field of real-time lighting visualisation; the program continues to lead the field with its ever-increasing feature-set. Vivien is a new program for creating virtual event designs, aimed at the event production industry. The Cast team will be demonstrating both packages and answering questions from anyone considering or already using the software. This Open Day will also run from 10am-4pm at 52 Shaftesbury Avenue.

Finally, on Wednesday 7 February, White Light and the team from Strand Lighting, A Genlyte Company, will be offering an introduction to Strand's new Light Palette range of lighting consoles. The successors to the popular 500-series consoles, the Palette range introduces a number of new control concepts including an Abstract Control Model and a new graphical interface designed to make controlling moving lights as simple as possible. The new Palette range includes the Palette Classic, the Palette Live and the Palette VL; examples of the range will be on show, with staff from Strand Lighting on-hand to explain the new sytstems and answer questions. The Strand open day will take place at White Light's main building in Wimbledon, south-west London. Full travel directions can be found at the White Light website.

The White Light Open Days are open to all - just turn up and play or, for more information contact Simon Barrett at White Light on 020 8254 4800.
