USA - Crest Audio has announced a number of new additions to its range of pro audio products. Firstly, the X Series consoles offer tailor-made solutions for fixed installations, churches, stadiums, live sound reinforcement, broadcasting and corporate AV applications. Benefiting from the R&D behind the company's flagship V12 console, the X Series consoles offer superior sonic performance and build quality combined with intuitive control surfaces, say Crest.

Also new is the X Rack Series consoles, which address a wide range of applications including project studios, churches, broadcasting, and live sound reinforcement. These compact, feature filled, rack-mounting mixers achieve a high rejection rate of RF interference and ground-related noise, and exhibit less than ±30 degrees of input to output phase shift. Other features include XLR connectors on all primary inputs and outputs, with quarter-inch TRS connectors used for inserts to interface with most professional audio equipment.

Adding to the company's range of professional power amplifiers, the Pro 200 Series is designed to produce high power output, with the Pro 9200 model rated at 6500W bridged. The compact, lightweight, 2U rack-mounting units feature automatic clip limiting for added driver protection, along with IGM impedance sensing to accommodate varying output impedance. Other plusses are tunnel-cooled heat sinks and a variable speed DC fan to limit operating temperature and extend amplifier life. Models in the series include the Pro 9200, Pro 8200, Pro 7200 and Pro 5200.

Finally from Crest, offering high-end features and performance in an affordable package, the new HP-Eight Series consoles from Crest Audio, are designed for the install and hire company markets. Features of this professional FOH or monitor 8-bus console include 24 to 56 mono input channels, 10 aux sends, five stereo line/effects returns, fader flip, direct outputs, 4-band channel EQ with swept mids, 100mm faders and 4-channel scene muting. Other features include an internal power supply with provision for an optional redundant, external power supply.
