Martin has over 30 years experience at an international level with some of the industry's best known brands including an earlier four-year period with Turbosound in the late '90s - where he presided over one of the company's strongest growth periods resulting in its second Queen's Award for Export Achievement - during which time he acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the pro audio industry's distribution network and built strong personal relationships.
He fills the international sales role recently vacated by outgoing sales director Dominic Harter, who has steered Turbosound's sales and product strategy for almost 10 years, leading up to a further Queen's Award - this time for Innovation - which was bestowed on the company earlier this year for its development of the Dendritic and Polyhorn waveguides used in its flagship Flashline and Flex Array loudspeaker systems.
With Martin's extensive distribution knowledge and familiarity with the brand, a seamless transition period is fully expected as Turbosound gears up for a new growth phase alongside sister companies Midas and Klark Teknik as part of the newly formed Music Group Pro Division, says the company.
"I'm very happy to be returning to Turbosound, a company that I've always had immense admiration for in pursuing a focused line of loudspeaker development," says Martin. "With the considerable resources of the Music Group behind us and a great engineering team who have just been recognised for their innovative designs, I am confident that Turbosound will continue to grow and prosper and I am delighted to be able to play a part."
