France - Permanently moored on the river Seine in the heart of Paris, Mademoiselle Mouche provides breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower from its rooftop party space. Guests enjoy a signature menu from the Paris Cocktail Club alongside DJ sets delivered by a newly installed Nexo sound system.
To provide the power and headroom combined with the all-weather performance required in the outdoor space, the Novelty Paris agency of AV technology specialists the Novelty-Magnum-Dushow group designed and installed a Nexo ePS Outdoor system featuring two ePS12 with two eLS18 subs for the main DJ system, and eight ePS8 with four eLS600 subs for delays and coverage of a VIP zone. Cabinets are finished in white to complement the chic design of the venue.
Amplification and processing are provided by Dante-equipped Nexo NXAMP4X2Mk2 (X 1) and NXAMP4X1Mk2 (X 2) Powered TD Controllers, with source selection and zone control from a Yamaha MTX5-D Matrix Processor.
Built on the platform of Nexo’s PS Series point source loudspeakers, the ePS Series quickly gained an enviable reputation as a ‘no frills’, install-only range that makes Nexo performance accessible to a wider range of projects. ePS Outdoor adds a range of four weatherproof loudspeakers engineered and tested for use in outdoor installations.
Exceeding the requirements of EN54-24 certification, ePS Outdoor loudspeakers have been further developed and tested to ensure consistent performance and long product life, even in the most severe conditions. From the use of high-grade A4 stainless-steel screws to UV-protected cloth and polyurethane coatings, every detail has been considered and the final designs have been subjected to 800 hours of salt spray testing (ISO 9227 standard) and 600 hours UV testing (DIN 75220 standard).
Cabinets feature two M6 with 80mm pitch and one M10 fittings on the sides for mounting to a U Bracket, bumper or eye bolts. The back of each speaker is fitted with three M6 with 70mm pitch fittings for wall-mount in both horizontal and vertical positions.
