Headquartered at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City, the Nexo Soundcheck will take place on 24-25 February, and everybody is welcome, subject to a free registration with V.V. & Sons.
On Tuesday 24, Nexo's training manager and concert sound specialist Val Gilbert will conduct a one-day ETC1 training seminar. ETC is Nexo's Education, Training and Certification programme, and the ETC1 module covers the fundamentals of Nexo philosophy and technology, from the classic point-source Alpha Series systems to the present-day flagship STM Series of scalable line array elements.
Starting at 9am, the course includes an overview of NEXO's proprietary processing and amplification, and NS-1 system modelling software, before giving hands-on practical training on the Nexo Geo S12 line array.
On Wednesday 25, Nexo and V.V. & Sons invite Dubai's audio community to join them for a demonstration of the new compact line arrays, namely the Geo M6 and the STM M28.
The Geo M6 compact line array produces "astonishing SPL output and clarity for its size, and offers a dazzling array of configuration possibilities"; in pole-mounting, wall-mounting, flown array or under-balcony mode, the M620 can be paired with the Geo M6B low-frequency extension box to handle full-on line array applications in very large rooms.
There will be an indoor and outdoor demo of the new STM M28 line array cabinet, the latest addition to NEXO's flagship STM Series.
